Description
Characteristics of a Silicon Carbide:
Silicon carbide of high purity is colorless. Technical Silicon Carbide is black and metallic to green and turns to bottle green as the purity increases. Quality is achieved through the choice of raw materials, sand and petroleum coke; especially for raw silicon carbide, contamination with alumina must be avoided. Silicon carbide at temperatures above 800°C against oxygen is relatively resistant to oxidation due to the formation of a passivating layer of silicon dioxide. It exhibits high hardness, good thermal conductivity and semiconductor properties.
We adopt High-power-smelting method of DC 16000KVA to smelt SiC over 10 days, so that we can produce high-grade SiC products. All SiC products adopt superior material and strict operating technique with high-grade and stable quality.
